About the role

Jacobs is playing a leading role in the global energy transition. As our UK and Continental Europe team continues to expand, we are seeking a Principal Protection & Control Engineer to support a range of high-profile projects across our Power & Energy portfolio. This includes high voltage AIS and GIS Substations, transmission system assets, HVDC interconnectors, and energy storage systems.

What you will do

Lead FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) for protection and control systems.
Design and specify protection and control schemes for high voltage substations, transmission system assets, HVDC interconnectors, and energy storage systems.
Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Mentor and guide junior engineers.

What you need

Experience in protection and control design for high voltage electrical systems.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and practices.
Ability to lead design activities and manage projects.
