Marathon Operations Assistant (Events Manager)

This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Air Force Marathon at Wright-Patterson AFB. Responsible for organizing and managing all aspects of the ancillary events associated with the USAF Marathon and SF 10-Miler.

What you will do

• Organize and manage all aspects of ancillary events including the Health & Fitness Expo, Pasta Dinner, Welcome Reception, Award Ceremonies, and Finish Line Festival.
• Serve as primary liaison between expo vendors, event venues, and contracted support organizations.
• Assist the Marketing Coordinator with marketing campaigns, social media, and producing promotional materials.
• Manage a waste reduction, recycling, and sustainability plan for all USAF Marathon events and track its efficacy.
• Travel to local, state, and national meetings and conferences to represent the USAF Marathon.

What you need

• Relevant experience in event management, marketing, or sustainability coordination.
• Ability to work irregular hours to represent the marathon during events.
