Finance Director

Are you an accomplished Finance Leader looking to strategically shape the future of a global organisation? Do you have proven experience of modernising a finance function?

The International Transport Workers' Federation (ITF) is a global union federation representing seafarers, dockers, seafarers, and other transport workers. We are seeking a Finance Director to lead our finance function and contribute to our strategic objectives.

What you will do

• Lead and manage the finance department, ensuring efficient and effective financial operations.
• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the organisation's goals.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Provide strategic financial advice to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices.
• Manage financial risks and internal controls.
• Contribute to the modernisation of the finance function.

What you need

• Proven experience as a Finance Director or senior finance leader.
• Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices.
• Experience in modernising finance functions.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work strategically and operationally.

About the role

Location: London (hybrid, 3 days/week in the office)
Contract: permanent, full-time
Salary: Range £123,683 - £146,805 per annum, inclusive of annual bonus.
