Aquatic Ecologist

Stantec's Freshwater Aquatic Ecology team is growing and we are welcoming expressions of interest from aquatic ecologists across all grades, from Consultant through to Senior Principal, across the UK and Ireland.

Working with James Smith's team, you will work on a diverse and technically challenging portfolio of projects including strategic water resource and drought resilience schemes, river restoration, fish passage assessments, WFD assessments, hydropower developments and nationally significant infrastructure projects.

What you will do

• Undertake field surveys and data collection.
• Analyse ecological data and produce technical reports.
• Contribute to project proposals and client liaison.
• Provide ecological advice and support to project teams.

What you need

• Experience in freshwater aquatic ecology.
• Knowledge of relevant environmental legislation and assessment methods.
• Strong analytical and report writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Location: UK and Ireland

Salary: £33,453.75 per annum (estimated)
